The Corfu Town Tour
Our tour starts at the Old Fortress, the beautiful Venetian fortress in the town of Corfu, with a rich history closely connected to that of the island. Take a walk around its unique routes and reach the highest point for a breathtaking view of the town. Our next stop is Mon Repos, the summer residence of the royal family of Greece until 1967 and the change of regime. Its lush gardens will take you to another era, and its private beach will let you relax and contemplate. We then move on to Kanoni, which got its name from the old cannon that has been standing on top of the hill since 1798, pointing out to the sea to protect the island. From the top, you can see the Monastery of Panagia Vlacherna and the Mouse Island, among the most photographed spots of Corfu. A narrow 300m stone pier connects the island with the beautiful monastery. From that pier, fishing boats depart frequently for the legendary Mouse Island, just a 5 min boat ride. There you can enjoy the dense vegetation and see the 13th-century church of Pantokrator.
